both are right but wrong ill try to explain
gen1 stem in older lower r1 yoke with pin method but cant use gen 2 upper
gen 1 stem into fz1 or late r1 bottom will go but pin method wont work as sad said the stem is smaller
this require a bit of machine shop work
stem needs 2mm machining off and a 3mm top hat bush making this is then welded onto the fazer stem
then remachining down to bearing size
sounds epic but not really my local engineering shop have done 7 of these now cost is £160
but the advantage is no cutting of the lock stops and you can use gen2 top yoke which makes the whole conversion look more factory
