Checking the valve clearance is a bit awkward but nothing major. Lots of people don't bother doing it on Fazers because they think the clearances don't change much on them but I would check them. Carb balance helps but if you don't do it nothing bad will happen it just won't be running 100%. Someone might give you a lend of a balancer
