I had the top Nitron model fitted to my 1000. It was pretty impressive, as was the price.
I also owned an R6 shock fitted to my 1000. I struggled to notice the difference, although to be fair that may be down to my riding limitations and lack of trackdays.
When I downsized to the 600 I adapted & fitted my R6 shock because I had it leftover in the garage after selling my 1000. It's true that the additional mods required to fit it to the 600 adds to the price, but it still comes in at just under £200 if you source one for under £120
New R6 shocks from bikes going straight to racing pop up occasionally on ebay.... I know 'cos I bought another one yesterday. I'm not exactly sure how many miles second-hand R6 shocks appearing on ebay have clocked up, but even the earliest ones from 2008 are unlikely to have clocked up over 12000 miles. Plenty of life left in them
