Poor design really, it could do with more bracing. (Corrosion hasn't been the problem on mine, it's stress fractures.)
Exactly what happened to mine, hard work getting bike up then noticed the rust.
Was fortunate to win a bid on a virtually new looking one on Flebay at 1am one morning for £1.99 with £8 postage, i was very happy.
When i took the old one off it was really twisted, they just buckle once weak.
Plenty good ones about though, and a bit of smooth Hammerite would be a good idea before fitting.
I believe my first post on here was about fitting my new stand.
