Each car is going to be different. As well as the likelihood of a claim they then look at things like the cost of repair in event of a claim. So a Focus Ghia will be more expensive than a base model Focus as the extra bits of trim will add to the cost of a repair when it gets bent. A Volvo is going to cost more because the cost of the parts to repair it are more expensive (and probably because the older ones where built like a brick shithouse the increased cost of repair to the third party they hit!). A diesel may cost more because if mechanical parts get damaged in an accident, they cost more to replace and so on. There's far more factors to take account of than simply the performance
