All politicians lie, and depending on which side of the fence you stand, Thatcher was either one of the better ones, or one of the worse ones.

I think it's a shame that many decent good hard working politicians that we choose to represent us are slurred in such a manner.  All politicians are not liars.

Thatcher and her buddies had a self serving agenda to destroy the working classes, and the miners dispute was simply part of that process.  Thatcher saw the miners, the very people who built Britain and powered her empire as the 'enemy within'.
