Washing sounds a bit extreme. Pointed a hosepipe at mine this weekend and looking good now all the crud is gone (well not counting what I picked up this morning). Will do it again and top up the ACF before I go on my Christmas hols.

Having never used it before I've just invested in some ACF50 and am kind of assuming that it forms a coating so you can just hose off the dirt with fresh clean water. I imagine that if you wash the bike normally i.e. with shampoo and a sponge you will end up taking the ACF50 off.
