What is an FZS1000 gen1??

Ok thanks for the info so far. Maybe the title is misleading the info I'm looking for is how to decide if a bike is origional or has been dropped and patched up? Things like decals seem to be missing from some but on others, some have the fairing and tail the same colour as the tank some don't. I may be being picky but I am picky, if I go to view a bike I want to know how it should look before I arrive and if it doesn't match up either walk away or use this info as leverage on price. Once bought I'd be disappointed to discover something later on.
