A torch helps, the screws are in a pretty crappy place.
A long #2 cross head screwdriver is what was suggested, although i'm still not totally convinced as it just didn't feel good to me, and it needs a round shaft, not a hex shaft.
I actually found that a small 4" flat blade screwdriver was spot on for the screw on the right side.
