Speeding through villages/towns
#24
Thanks again for the advice.

In the States, town speed limit is 25mph across the board. We don't have many speed cameras except a few major cities. But.... the cops are crazy (mad) about their damn radar guns. They'll sit behind some hedges with their radar/laser guns and catch you doing 10-15 over the posted speed limit.

I've seen one scamera van since I've been here and plenty of the stationary cameras atop a light pole (weird) but only a few times have I seen cops with radar guns.

Speeding and the whole police element is quite different over here. It seems like there a fewer police officers worrying about catching people speeding. In my home state of Illinois, there is a whole squad of Harley motorcycle cops and their only job is to catch people speeding - nothing else. It's a pretty big money maker back in the States.  :wall
