I did the same with mine, but trimmed the flies to keep a bit more bottom end torque. The bike is an animal with the right map!
You don't have to go and get a custom map, you can simply download the map pack zip file from the fz1oa site. I've had some good fun playing with the maps, and got about 7 on my juicebox pro that all have slightly different characteristics.
It'll certainly save you a few hundred £, and you can say "i did that" ! Just watch your licence after you've done it
