Most likely the seat if the rest was replaced. They would have worn to suit the needles, which is why I always put back the needles into the seat they came from when stripping carburettors.

Why not go back to the original colours? From the picture the roling chassis looks in excelent condition.
Notice you have a Tuono, what is it like? I have a 2004 RSV R belonging to a friend in the garage at present, he wants me to set the suspension up for Irish road use. Very different to the set up required for motorway and primary routes.
