Good answer Skip. It seems to me track days as generally referred to are for fun. If you want to learn about the limits on the road, a good advanced training course is surely the right thing to be doing. If you go looking for what you are capable of on track and then try to transfer that to road riding, you're asking for trouble. Yes, the 2 skill sets may cross, and you may improve your riding with both, but I don't think it does to confuse one with the other.
