Yep, been using the Supermax on my fzs 600 for the past couple of years for mostly commuting, but I've scratched on them with the litre class boys and kept up with them with no problems.
Most of those that say the tyres are crap are pretty much tyre snobs that just 'want' big brand rubber, and can't ride properly. There are race schools that use these tyres with no problems. There are of course some riders who are nuts and overpower them with litre sports bikes! :o
