The cat will cause a restriction in flow & will negate to an extent the benefits you'd receive from the aftermarket endcan you've chosen.
It's a no brainer, remove it & you'll get increased performance for free. The lambda sensor will still function as intended.
There's thousands of owners who've done this mod & have nothing but praise for it. As for the MOT even if they introduced it the rules wouldn't be retrospective.
