Direction of fuel float

I'm assuming he means the float that is inside the fuel tank to measure its current capacity

If its constantly showing full then I'd say make it face the other way? Sorry its not very helpful but I don't know which way it is usually...

Ah got you the sender unit    it should face to the back and as far as I know it will only fit that way unless you bend the arm, check all the connections/wiring and the fuse it's possible it's buggered not common that I have to say.
