Restricted track days?

Plod dont like that no matter what offshoot of latin they speak.

Plenty of fun to be had without track stuff. Mind its still the beginner stage. Save the fortune for full power and learn the road before the sped because it will be within 2 years and thats plenty of time to learn how a fazer handles day to day. Put aside some cashand wait for derestriction and by that time you will have much better understanding of the weight and balance before going all out. You might even have enough put aside for onesies that won't allow any room for doubt as the gear required for track stuff.

Plenty of good roads about that will be fine for 33 brake.

I gather it would be similar I  france or elsewhere.  The restrictor will only be more disappointing on a track cos you want better. It aint gonna happen any more than it would on motorway or decent b road.

It's BECAUSE I'm on English plates that I'm cheeky when in France - less likely for anything to end up on my permanent record.

As for the riding, the top speed is fine (let's just say I've done the ton +), butI'd like to push the handling a bit. I'm at Uni in Hertfordshire, and the roads aren't all that good there. Here in France, during the holidays, there are some nice twisties, but the best are covered in grit and crap. Which is why I'm thinking track, conditions are likely to be better.

As for my restrictor, it comes out in 1 year and 4 months, which is always good. As I spend most of the year in the UK at Uni, I was thinking of Brands' Hatch or something similar. To be honest, it's mainly the logistics of sorting the damn thing out!

Thanks for the input though, duly noted!  Smile
