The restrictor isn't really part of an MOT, so you wouldn't expect him to go screaming down the road to see if it's breathing ok, a normal run would probably feel fine.
Stuffy air filter is a bit lazy though.
Get a K&N fitted and the bike will spring into life as if it's previously been strangled.  :lol
More people are born because of alcohol than will ever die from it.
