Its a really nice bike, and with only 14k on the clock, nice and tidy to. So im not wanting to part with it as I got it for a good price. I just hope he is reasonable, and I dont have to start shouting on the forecourt words like Trading Standards blah blah blah at other potential customer like i did when i bought my car from a dealer.
It could be possible that there was an unfortunate breakdown in communication and that he was selling the bike as restricted but forgot to make you aware of that fact.
He might take it out for nothing or he might charge you a small fee. If you have to pay a fee, you always have the choice to pick the person to do the job if you don't want to give him the satisfaction of doing it because you felt that he is just screwing you for more money.
But I'd make an effort to keep the head with him too if that is the case and not let it turn into a resentment. I lost the head with a dealer here and it took me 5 years to go back to him through stubborness and resentment. In hindsight, it was actually more of a disadvantage to me than to him and I was hurting me more than him by my actions. He could do certain things that I needed a lot cheaper than the other dealers around and I cut myself off from that and limited my options. On top of that, I found that at some stage or other, all the other dealers will rub me up the wrong way sooner or later too and have already done so!!
So enuff of the preaching!! The bottom line is that you are blessed with such a low mileage bike so I wouldn't let an extra few quid and a restriction kit get in the way of having that bike or in limiting your dealer options.
