Give it a go yourself! Seriously, plastic welding isnt too hard, just use a soldering iron and feed in plastic to the join as you go along. Biros are usually made of the right sort of plastic. Practise on some old scrap 1st, who knows, you might be quite good at it, dont know til you try! Its a good idea to do it in a ventilated area with a mask on though.
