A coil fault is rare enough on the fazer as it is usually loose plug caps which are the cause of the problem. Do as his dudeness says and test for spark first, 1 & 4 are fired by one coil and 2 and 3 are fired by the second coil. It works on the wasted spark principle, both plugs fire at the same time but one cylinder is on the exhause stroke when the other is on compression. If you have spark at 1 & 4 then it is most likely blocked carburettor jets from fuel evaporation. Lift the tank and check the connection on the coils also, I have come accross a few loose ones. Make sure when checking for spark that both plugs are earthed to the cylinder head. Tape them to the head if necessary to keep them in position but do not hold them with you hand, it can be a shocking experience :rollin
