You would be amazed at the amount of grip in the wet :eek
Once you get some heat into the tyre (and not too ham fisted with the throttle/brakes)
It's all about confidence and getting the 'feel' and feedback to push-on
The Pr2's are a very good tyre and last about 6000 even with 'spirited' riding
