Irish rain is wetter than English!

First time I went for 2 weeks tour round with another friend both riding solo. Was impressed with courtesy on N roads-as you say they pull over to wide hard shoulder-had to watch for potholes though! The Wicklow day was the only really wet one. Second time was 2005 and rode with my lovely(Welsh) partner.We had a heatwave that week. Sadly she developed cancer & died in 2008. I took a solo trip back to Ireland 2 months later & it rained torrents but not all day every day. What a beautiful country when the  sun shines!
