When I used that Aquabox set-up on mine it was mounted to the ball on the bar clamp exactly like you've got. Worked fine.
I don't want to seem like I'm dissin' your idea but I'd keep a close eye for cracks around the hole you've drilled in the screen. There's going to be a lot of vibration/bump induced load on that fixing due to the weight of the satnav and box, increased due to the leverage of the mounting arm.
I'd fit a short lanyard to the box for safety, just in case the whole lot drops off while you're on the move. You don't want it bouncing off down the road or worse still, getting caught up in your steering.
