The wedge is a good tip, I use a door wedge from a hardware shop. Think it cost me 50 p but is plastic. A wood one would be better.
Also remember to torque the bolts on rebuild.

As said shorter bones increase hight. So don't panic when you take old ones off and they are actually longer LOL. 5mm gives a much bigger adjustment at seat hight than at dog bone level. But that said it isn't a HUGE diff. At least I didn't think so when I went from std to shorter bones....... Raised the back. But the I also have the front dropped 10 mm
