Your favorite tyre choice
#1
So when I finally put all the hoses back where they should be am going to replace my front tyre. Tried an experiment with a cheap one from nankang n found it to be up to the task of my riding style. (To n from work n touring happy plodding at 80. Erm I mean 70 of course) wondering what tyres you guys swear by??? (Rear is a battlax bt023r).

I put the BT023 on the front, and i think it's spot on.
Has a deeper tread than normal from new which is why you can get so many miles out of them, and are brilliant in the wet.
I have a T30 on the rear.

If i was you i'd complete the set and stick with a front BT023.

Pilot road 3's. Got them on the 600 and the 1000 and they are great.  Smile

My last 3 sets of tyres have been pilot road 2's, which i am super confident in, sticky sides with a hard wearing centre, although these are now superceded by the 3's.

PR3s. Do they now make a PR4 for the front size?

Yup, they make a PR4 for the front. Blinding grip in the wet (currently fitted) but it's still the only front tyre I've ever managed to lock up in the feckin dry (on the Fazer) on more than one occasion  :groan

Have previously used Dunlop & Bridgestone 23s. Now have Michelin PR3s -good all rounder with excellent grip in wet

No, not for the standard fazer sizing they don't!
PR2's were the last ones to have a 110!

You can get PR3's in 110, or the tyre place has not informed me of the change to standard. http://www.oponeo.co.uk/moto-tyre-detail...#109573837

Yep, stand corrected on the stopping at the 2's, website doesn't show 110's for the 4's though!

BT023's for me, but considering a change to PR3s to see what they're like.

No complaints for the Bridgestones though
