Your favorite tyre choice - grizzler - 10-04-16 So when I finally put all the hoses back where they should be am going to replace my front tyre. Tried an experiment with a cheap one from nankang n found it to be up to the task of my riding style. (To n from work n touring happy plodding at 80. Erm I mean 70 of course) wondering what tyres you guys swear by??? (Rear is a battlax bt023r). Re: Your favorite tyre choice - darrsi - 10-04-16 I put the BT023 on the front, and i think it's spot on. Has a deeper tread than normal from new which is why you can get so many miles out of them, and are brilliant in the wet. I have a T30 on the rear. If i was you i'd complete the set and stick with a front BT023. Re: Your favorite tyre choice - Neon Knight - 10-04-16 Pilot road 3's. Got them on the 600 and the 1000 and they are great. ![]() Re: Your favorite tyre choice - gerkin - 10-04-16 Bt023s Re: Your favorite tyre choice - grizzler - 10-04-16 I was leaning towards the battlax. I was just wondering n trying to make conversation. .lol.. Re: Your favorite tyre choice - Bimbam - 10-04-16 Metzler Sportstec M7RR. Super grip. ![]() Re: Your favorite tyre choice - Bretty - 10-04-16 My last 3 sets of tyres have been pilot road 2's, which i am super confident in, sticky sides with a hard wearing centre, although these are now superceded by the 3's. Re: Your favorite tyre choice - mattrain - 10-04-16 Pilot road 4 good and rated highly. Re: Your favorite tyre choice - mtread - 10-04-16 PR3s. Do they now make a PR4 for the front size? Re: Your favorite tyre choice - Frosties - 10-04-16 Yup, they make a PR4 for the front. Blinding grip in the wet (currently fitted) but it's still the only front tyre I've ever managed to lock up in the feckin dry (on the Fazer) on more than one occasion :groan Re: Your favorite tyre choice - Dave48 - 11-04-16 Have previously used Dunlop & Bridgestone 23s. Now have Michelin PR3s -good all rounder with excellent grip in wet Re: Your favorite tyre choice - Punkstig - 12-04-16 (10-04-16, 11:13 PM)mtread link Wrote: PR3s.
