For sale Blue spot rear thousand caliper
#1
Hi all, I have a fazer thou Blue spot rear caliper for sale. Until yesterday it was fitted to my bike but I've now fitted some 5 spoke R1 wheels which required fitting an R6 caliper. The pads are low and need replacing £60 plus postage.

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

I bought one of these last week, apparently you use the new hanger, the one off the thou...but one of the bolts doesnt quite line up properly so it needs a tiny bit of persuasion....on the hanger to like scuff a bit off, i think fizzy was last to fit one & he said he used a small round file so a few quid from homebase or whatever.

Now i have an even dafter question...lets also direct it at chris..he's a helpful foccer....is it possible to change a caliper without bleeding the whole brake system....do you just pinch the pipe & then bleed out a tiny bit of air....i aint got a clue. :o
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

You can use the 600 hanger but you need to file a small part off so the bolts line up with the 1000 caliper. There are pics of it somewhere on here. I'll have a look.

If you're replacing just the caliper then by undoing the banjo bolt and attaching it to the replacement caliper then the brake system will still need bled. You wouldn't be able to pinch it closed and even if you did the caliper would still be full of air and need to be bled out. If you're not sure get someone to help who does know. If your brakes don't work you're as good as dead.

if you could find those photo's that would be triffic mate!  i'll be changing the brake hose and fluid to stainless line and dot 5.1 so will need to bleed it anyway.

just one more silly question-do i need a brake line for a fazer 6 or fazer thou as im changing the caliper to the blue dot?    thanks in advance  :o
