Exhaust stud removal
#1
I've got my exhaust off at the moment
Fortunately no problems at all getting it off. Some of the studs are a little rusty but nothing serious.
New Motad exhaust fits perfectly.
I've got some stainless studs to replace the originals with so I don't have to worry about studs snapping in future.
Unfortunately can't get the originals out!
Using the two nut trick, the nuts just slip no matter how tight I do them up. But I get the feeling it's mangling either the nuts or the studs so I don't want to push it in case I mangle the studs and can't get them out.
Any tips?

I found that method almost impossible to use. Not sure if you have enough room, but I used a stud extractor that tightens on to the stud then used an impact driver to remove them Smile

Stud Extractor - You want the 1/4" one but its hard to find it by itself. The studs are 6mm and the 3/8" one isn't quite small enough to get a very good grip
