Yeah, I believe they do, but for some reason you aren't getting fuel in to no 4 cylinder. If the jets have been cleaned and the floats are fine (agree that its unlikely to be the float height) then that leaves the butterfly or a blockage in the carb rubbers (either side potentially)
sticking float,blocked/stuck float valve ?
One, is never going to be enough.....
will rip carbs off again when i get a chance and give em another good clean then report back cheers so far boys for all your help very much appreciated
If you prime up the carbs, ign on wait for fuel pump to stop clicking just before you remove them and then keep them verticle, remove the bowl of dodgy no4 and a good one and compare the fuel levels between them. If you loose any fuel out of them getting them out just top them up again out of the frame.
This is better than just a "float level" check, as that don't prove the needle valve is not bloked or other no fuel flow problem / blockage, stuck float as mentioned possible
A quicker and less messy method of checking the fuel levels in the carbs is to use a length of pvc tubing on the drain spigot as described in the manual. By draining the bowl first (may need to turn off the fuel tap under the tank briefly) you can compare the filling rates for a good carb and carbs 3 and 4. That way you can find out if the problem is in the fuel supply side without even taking the carbs off.
