R1/R6 Front brake master cylinder on a FZS 600?

Just day dreaming of my next interchangeable Yamaha upgrade... has anyone changed their front brake master cylinder for an R1/R6 version?

Opinions are like A**holes, Everyone has one. Some people seem to have more than one though which is a bit odd.

Greater choice of levers, slightly larger MC so increasing feedback in braking and it looks cool.

Yeah, (possibly) larger swept volume of the R1 piston will give you slightly sharper brakes in theory (unless someone could prove me wrong).
After running a '98 R1 for nearly 7 years, I wouldn't bother upgrading, the Ikkle Fazers brakes are fine as they are! 
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

If you get a bigger m/c piston then you'll have less travel on the lever, and a more wooden feel to it. It's the smaller pistons that give more travel and more feel. With a smaller piston you also don't have to squeeze the brake as hard for a given level of braking.

I find it hard to understand why you'd want better brakes than the Fazer already has. They're pretty damn good imo.

As 98 onwards R1 uses the same caliper I think the R1 reservoir & MC may have a positive effect on brake response...
