fitting a belly pan to a gen 1 600

hi dudes how easy is it to fit a belly pan ? as i cant seem to find where to fix the back end of it .
any pics would help me alot

Hi gordon,

My belly pan may be different to yours but mine has seperate clips that clip around the lower part of the frame and you screw the bolt into that. Is your belly pan new? if not maybe the person didn't send the clips with it. Hope that helps... sorry can't get any pics at the moment. will try and get one later.

hi chris yes it is new but they dont give you any fittings which is crap so i,m sure i,ll find away around it , thanks for your answer

No worries mate. Have you tried contacting the seller to see if they have just forgotten to put in the fiitings?? might be worth it. I'm sure you'll figure out something  Smile

my belly pan has a set of "runners" that are attached to the frame - the belly pan bolts on to that (accompanied by a lot of swearing as its a fiddly job)

My belly pan took a lot of fiddling to get in the right position - I put all the fittings on loose and then shuggled it about until it looked right - then tightened every thing up .


I can take some photos of the fittings if it would help

attached are a pic of the front bracket and the rear bracket - both sides are similar fittings, hope this helps.


Please excuse the state of my bike - its been sitting outside all winter and is due a jolly good spring clean.
