fitting a belly pan to a gen 1 600 - gordon - 04-02-13 hi dudes how easy is it to fit a belly pan ? as i cant seem to find where to fix the back end of it . any pics would help me alot cheers lads Re: fitting a belly pan to a gen 1 600 - Chris - 04-02-13 Hi gordon, My belly pan may be different to yours but mine has seperate clips that clip around the lower part of the frame and you screw the bolt into that. Is your belly pan new? if not maybe the person didn't send the clips with it. Hope that helps... sorry can't get any pics at the moment. will try and get one later. Re: fitting a belly pan to a gen 1 600 - gordon - 05-02-13 hi chris yes it is new but they dont give you any fittings which is crap so i,m sure i,ll find away around it , thanks for your answer Re: fitting a belly pan to a gen 1 600 - Chris - 05-02-13 No worries mate. Have you tried contacting the seller to see if they have just forgotten to put in the fiitings?? might be worth it. I'm sure you'll figure out something ![]() Re: fitting a belly pan to a gen 1 600 - Lazarus - 05-02-13 my belly pan has a set of "runners" that are attached to the frame - the belly pan bolts on to that (accompanied by a lot of swearing as its a fiddly job) Re: fitting a belly pan to a gen 1 600 - ponkster - 05-02-13 My belly pan took a lot of fiddling to get in the right position - I put all the fittings on loose and then shuggled it about until it looked right - then tightened every thing up . I can take some photos of the fittings if it would help Re: fitting a belly pan to a gen 1 600 - gordon - 05-02-13 thanks pics would be great as i dont have them Re: fitting a belly pan to a gen 1 600 - ponkster - 05-02-13 attached are a pic of the front bracket and the rear bracket - both sides are similar fittings, hope this helps. Please excuse the state of my bike - its been sitting outside all winter and is due a jolly good spring clean. Re: fitting a belly pan to a gen 1 600 - ponkster - 05-02-13 for some reason both pics have uploaded upside down ! sorry Re: fitting a belly pan to a gen 1 600 - gordon - 05-02-13 thanks mate i,m sure i could make them up if not i know someone who can cheers pal |
