Air filter
#1
Hi

Just replacing my air filter. Is it worth putting in a K&N or just an ordinary one, possibly a hi flo or something similar???? Thanks.

100% K&N.

For starters a few of us on here have noticed that Hi-Flo are ill fitting.

Secondly, the K&N will be the last filter you ever buy for the bike so it's cost effective.

I've read on here a few times that the fzs runs rich as standard apparently so no need

No re-jetting but it will feel like the bike is taking a deep breath of fresh air after eating a packet of Tunes  Smile

Probably on of the most effective and simplest modification you can do to the fazer to improve it.
No need to rejet as it runs rich as standard. The K&Nwill also improve the already good mid range a little, improve the mpg a little, run cleaner and give it a lovely throaty sound around the 7000rpm range.

If it was just as good, why did you have to buy another one?

i might be wrong on this so i stand to be corrected,

i read somewhere that you dont need to adjust the carbs if you put on a non-standard exaust. and you dont need to adjust if u put in a k&n filter, but if you have a non-standard exaust already on, and then put in a k&n you will have to adjust to make it worth changing these parts (only if you change both)
