Is there anybody in SE London/Kent that would be able to replace my front wheel bearings if I delivered the wheel and the bearings?

Yes, mate ... you!  Seriously, this is well within your capabilities.

![]() Unlike the rear wheel bearings, the fronts are easy to get out. Likewise, fitting the new ones is a breeze. No special tools required. A long drift or old screwdriver and mallet will take care of the removal. Tap in the new ones with a socket the same size as the outer race. Doddle. By the time you've taken the wheel to someone else, you could have changed the bearings and refitted it yourself.

Hi Mike, I thought they would be similar to the rears and the guy had to weld a piece on the outer race to give him something to knock out with the drift. Putting the new ones in he used a masive big hammer, if he had missed the bearing he would have broke the wheel in half. lol

I'll dig out the bearings and give it a try. On your head be it!!!!! Thanks Luke. I am going to give it a try.

OK, wheel bearings replaced, easy, easy easy!!!! Thing is, the noise I suspected would be noisey wheel bearings (bike has covered nearly 60k miles) is still there  :'(

It must be tyre noise. The front doesn't feel any different. I know it must be because its new. At least its done now.
