Speedo needle doing a dance!!
#1
Hi I'm new on here and on the fazer I have a 2001 600. The speedo needle is all over the place I've had some look at the front wheel to see if there's any signs of a broken ring but seems to be ok any ideas wot I do next???

What condition is the wiring in? Any chance there's a broken wire or dodgy connection?

It's easy to fix a wire but you have to find where the problem is first which could be a pain. Think opening the loom and going through the earths. I'd say just live with it for now, see if it settles down. If it keeps going crazy then think about fixing it. If you're going to fix it you'd need a soldering iron, decent solder, heat shrink and loom wrap.

The reason i asked is 'cos the rev counter can go nuts if the TPS is faulty, i wasn't taking the piss, just didn't know your noobness.  Wink

I had similar issue shortly after I got my fazer, turned out to be Speedo wire touching disc and earthing out, taped up and rerouted been fine ever since. Just a thought.
