I know it's expensive enough but I rather sticking with the motel 10w40 semi, this always comes down to either price or personal preference so I herby officially remove myself from any bickering that this topic may incur lol 8)

Check out the prices in a petrol garage, then everywhere else will be cheap!  Smile

Bel Ray, very good oil, used to come in 4 litre pack:

Semi synth EXS:

Full synth EXP:

10w50 for Serbian climate, perhaps 10w40 for UK.

Silkolene, PRO 4, or semi-synth COMP 4

They can be found cheaper than Motul round here.
Bel Ray is a very good oil.

Know what you mean, but I change it 2 or 3 times a year so price is important.

I used to use Castrol Power 1, but I've taken to buying whatever is cheapest on eBay - recently that turned out to be 5 litres (4 litres + 1 litre free!) of Motul 5000 semi-synthetic. Cost be £22.59 delivered if memory serves, was pretty happy with that Big Grin

You get what you pay for in that particular case, but having said that, most oils are good enough if up to an API SG standard and changed regularly.

On the other hand, I change oil every 6000 kms, so I don't mind paying 10-20 euros more (per change) for one of the better oils.

You must do savage mileage if you change 3 times a year.

not really, about 10,000 but I'll change it for a European trip or a long Scotland trip wether it's due or not. Plus the bikes old now.

Yaaay! Oil again!

I bought a tanker load when HG were selling the stuff for £10/4litres.

It's supposed to be Motul semi.

I thought that the Silkolene semi made the engine sound and feel smoother and the gear change smoother too but if it's the right spec, there you go..

Look out for oil/filter deals on t'internet.

(I change about 3 times a year too on 4000 mile intervals.)
