Buzzing fairing insert
#1
Hello peeps, my bike has started to develop an annoying vibration from the r/h/s fairing insert between 3.5 &4.5k revs. I noticed it did not have a rubber washer on the top mount and could only find a thick tap washer but this hasn't cured it. I'm sure there are plenty of you who have had this problem and am curious as to how you have solved it. All replies appreciated chaps......and chappettes Smile

If you remove the infills you SHOULD see some slight chaffing marks on the inside of the fairing, I fit felt tape to the area where it is marked. I also put a little more on the areas of the clear silicone tape & sponge originally fitted at the factory, which will have no doubt gone off by now.

I put a line of silicon sealer along the edge of the inners, cures the problem straight away... well, once it's dried!

I cut up an old cycle inner tube and glued strips to the edge of the infil panels
