Rear LED light bar issue
#1
Hoping for someone’s help. I have an Integrated LED light bar with indicators. The light works fine when the bike is on tick over what seems to be the issue is after a ride the light bar seems to malfunction (flashes non stop) until I turn off the bike and restart. On my Koso dash I have a  volt meter which reads when riding 14.2 V is this too high? Also if I take the rpm up to around 10k+ the Koso Rev gauge also plays up until I restart the bike. So my question is should the bike when riding generate 14.2v and or is my regulator rectifier faulty. To confirm the bike is full LED conversion and a LED indicator relay installed to eradicate the fast pulse.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

14.2 volts on you dash mounted gauge sounds fine. I think mine shows about 14.5 volts when I've measured it at the battery with a few revs on the engine. The Yamaha manual quotes a no load regulated voltage of 14.1 to 14.9.
I have zero knowledge on LED stuff.

Thank you for your response it’s much appreciated glad to know that’s the acceptable range which helps me eradicate the regulator rectifier ??

let us know how you get on with the MOT using the lightbar as they are clamping down on the distance between indicators now.
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again

I managed to get it through in April without them mentioning anything, the current light bar I am using converts half of the bar into the indicator as oppose to just the end portions (much safer) but technically I have zero separation between left and right I suppose it is pot luck
