Ignition Barrel Electrics

Hi all,


Did the electrics change at all between the FZS 600 models? I am looking to replace the ignition barrel on my 1998 fzs600 and have found a 2003 one on ebay.


Will it be a straight swap?

Yes there is na difference between some of them,
I’m sorry I can not recall what the difference is but I believe it’s to do with the number of wires in the bottom of the switches.

Its for a custom build, i am looking to mount it on the side of the front fairing. do you know if it can be opened up and the steering lock part removed?
