Are they okay with the plastic lens?

Had a bike behind me the other day with the same spotlights as mine, but his headlights matched as well.
He was easy to see. ![]()

If you get the plug and play kit then it's a fairly easy job to do takes longer to hide the ballast boxes than it does to fit them I made a plate up and mounted the ballast boxes on it and hit it under the infill panel on the fairing

I have got hid's in my bike did some messing about with the headlight unit and managed to get two h4 bulbs fitted to it . looks the biz until I took it to get the lights aligned properly at the mot garage , the lights are not projecting a pattern so they cant align them up to the correct angles etc . they recommended putting standard h4 bulbs in ,

If you got the proper HID kits, you could have put an H1 and an H4 bulb in which may have helped.
When I had mine, the HID kit from HIDS4U was brilliant as I was able to get the beam low enough and straight enough to pass the MOT. Most people though just flick the original bulb back in for MOT time.

the plug and play kit is just that but its hiding the ballast boxes that take a bit of work nothing hard but well worth the bother as they are so much brighter
