to all the fish keepers on here, thinking of getting a pond vac.....decent not one of the cheap shite ones
does anyone in the Liverpool area have one that I could borrow to try out before I commit to buying one.....even on ebay they're decent money so would like to try one first?
cheers
fire never sleeps
I bought one a few years back , cost over a £100 at the time , didn't do a very good job , and broke down within a couple of years , I get just as much crap out with a net at a fraction of the cost and about the same amount of effort .
cheers mate
got a fair bit of sludge as I have overhanging vegetation/dog n cat displace soil etc into the pond. Have tried scooping with a net but it just sends the water into meltdown for a few days where I can't see foc all and the fish must get stressed with it, hence the vac idea
fire never sleeps
Because being sucked up a vacuum pipe must be quite relaxing, I would imagine......if you're a fish :rolleyes
its more of a wildlife pond and they cope but lost a young un the other day which was one for the future in my eyes. just want clear water so I can see them all the time......have you ever tried that sludge buster stuff where you empty a sachet in and 8.5 Million bugs eat the sludge?
fire never sleeps
If you're in Liverpool, why not just go an "borrow" someone elses...... :b :pokefun
Money doesn't buy happiness, but it buys beer, and that helps!
More people are born because of alcohol than will ever die from it.
Is it the gold one?
Treat everything in life the way a dog would- if you can't eat it or foc it, forget it.
