Wanted: FZS1000 2003 Radiator
#1
As the title says, I'm after a 2003 Fazer 1000 radiator. Removed mine today & it wasn't a pretty sight. I've scoured the usual places but finding nothing.

Drop me a PM if you have anything.

Thanks

No, I thought it would but some of the mounting are wrong. But carried on looking and found two on ebay that are located in the US -

And this one, but I wouldnt touch it at the price they are asking -

The trouble is with buying from outside europe, once the the total price goes over the £150 mark which means you'll get hit with import duty and vat on both the price of the item and the shipping costs - HMRC really are a bunch of cnuts!

Another option is getting the existing rad repaired or better a clone made (assuming they dont already have a template foir the fzs 1000 rad)

If your isnt leaking then its probably a good candidate for a repair/refurb.

When you buy any motor parts from out of Europe there is no minimum amount to get charged import tax and vat, I know from experience as I got stung on a cd changer that cost £20 from America, they even charged me the vat and tax on the dollar amount.

Correct and when the total amount inc. shipping goes above £150 you then pat customs and/or excise vat on that.

Not true. The cut-off value for VAT is £18 and for import duty it's £135. So you should only have been charged VAT. You were probably ripped off by the courier. Wasn't TNT by any chance ?
