TPS adjustment
#21
All done now, and for the record, I forgot to switch the engine on a couple if times at 10k and the needle dropped back the correct way, so maybe that's a problem with earlier models? Or I was just lucky!

I set the tps and balanced the carbs but now I've found that the idle speed is a little low at 1000rpm is there an separate idle adjustment screw?

What makes you say that?
There are other issues that can be mistaken for a warped disc, unless it looks like a breakfast bowl.  :lol

It's all over the place, I've no idea how it's happened to be honest. I've had the wheel if in the garage and can only assume I've whacked it or something. It did fall over the other day but I can't see how that would be able to bend it?!

If it's off the bike and "looks" warped then that's a different story, i thought you meant you had issues with braking.
If you thought the TPS was expensive, wait 'til you start looking for discs.  :eek

You could always take a chance and buy a second hand original disc off Ebay if you want to keep the price down.
They work independently so you don't "have" to buy a pair.

you're not wrong!  £190 EACH for Yamaha/EBC ones!!!!!

luckily through some incredible stroke of luck I got a second hand pair on eBay from someone about 10 minutes from my house for £60!  result!!

will just replace the warped one for the time being as they look pretty much identical in wear.

I've just balanced mine and didn't touch the tps,  just used the idle adjuster on no.1 carb.  runs beautifully Smile
