Have a quick glance around your engine mounting bolts, and make sure they're all as should be.

Will do. There's also a slight whirring noise (quiet though, and only sometimes) when decelerating.
I'm probably just being paranoid as the bike seems to be running pretty sweet.
A slight whirring noise when decelerating means the wheels are about to fall off
Both of them? Oh, snap. How unusual both will fall off at same time.
If you take the front wheel off and wheely everywhere that stops ALL rattles from the engine because the engine is tilted back more, (something to do with gravity pushing all the joints together, or something) also, good for speed cameras because your numberplate is pointing more towards the floor this way! :b
Money doesn't buy happiness, but it buys beer, and that helps!
Dudeness, I see where you are coming from - mine is a slightly higher pitched whine so not sure it's that. Actually, come to think of it - it only happens when the wife is pillion..... :rollin
Are you on about the general gearbox whine?
That's the reason i immediately took off the stock exhaust to drown it out with a noisier one!

Possibly, not used to quietness like this. It does sound like gearbox though
OK so I balanced the carbs last night. They weren't too far out but it needed doing. Anyway, got them done - engine does feel a little smoother to ride but I still have that noise coming from clutch.
Can this be safely ignored or do I need to take some other action?
It's fine. If you're really worried about it bring it to a mechanic and let him listen to it
It's due for an MOT in a month, so will just get it listened to then.
Thanks for help.
