Braided Brake lines
#1
Ok, so my "Y" reg FZS already has HEL braided brake lines, F&R, Stainless, but they have been on there 8/9 or 10 years. I bought them at Ally Pally bike show, and had the clear plastic hose casing fitted, but recently Ive noticed a dip in my brakes performance and the plastic casing is splitting and looking rather shitty. So I'm thinking of changing them again.
Can anyone recomend a brand that they havnt had faults with and have lasted? Where is the best place to buy? I'm after a 2 line kit up front and the rear, and again, S/S lines and fittings.
I have found these on ebay, but has anyone used them and can you recomend them?

With all due respect, 8-10 years for any working part is value for money in my opinion.

I had all sorts of problems with braking on my bike that ultimately turned out to be a faulty braided brake line.

I went for Venhill lines in the end, they do the job and look the part, no complaints at all.

Can't remember who but some one has fitted those and seemed pleased.
I was thinking about fitting them.
But we could do with an update from the Guinea pig. Smile

I can't get away from the fact that Wezmoto sounds far too similar to the well established Wemoto.

Call me old fashioned but it's like ordering from a McBurgerking!

I had HEL lines before and was very pleased with them... but I only had them for about 3 months... apparently they won't survive a severe garage fire...

I just ordered a set of Wezmoto lines for the rear. Did some research and I reckon they'll be good quality.

I think as long as you replace with braided lines and stainless fittings then for street riding i reckon they'll all do the job pretty much the same.
