Oil & Oil Filter
#1
So about to change my oil so I look on eBay and find this.

Good Price I am happy with that.

I phone Yammy up to get a price and he says I will do you 25% off so £36 with a genuine Yammy Filter.

He said don't get a 3rd party filter because it's just like cleaning your old one. How true is this or is he BSing me?

He has a Fazer himself so if he is reading this HI!!

Nothing wrong with using a 3rd party filter in my opinion. Likely follows similar rules to the oil; cheap stuff changed regularly is better than old stuff left in the engine for ages. So if you change the filter regularly then a 3rd party filter should be fine - even then some aftermarket parts are better than OEM

Both prices are okay.
Don't expect the stuff from Busters to arrive this side of Xmas though, it just won't happen. I ordered fork oil from M&P (same company) on Monday and still no sign of it yet.
I normally go for the K&N oil filter simply because it has a nut on the end to make it easy to get off with a socket or spanner, otherwise you'll more than likely need a chain wrench or similar tool to remove it 'cos they can get a bit tight after a while.

I  use the k&n too, its also smaller and easier to get  out past those damm downpipes!

Yes 4L is more than enough.

With oil filter 2.7L
Without oil filter 2.5L
Total oil from dry 3.5L
