Looks like Visor Down are doing a decent co-buy on some toasty Alpinestars winter goretex gloves. Looks set to be a pretty good deal if enough people join the co-buy. £80 down from £120 odd. Come on people, join the co-buy, I want to pay rock bottom prices and not freeze me fingers off this winter!

I saw that, I'm waiting for the price to come down a bit yet!
(I know that's not the point of co-buy,,,,,,,)
I have a pair of these gloves, like them a lot.
Down to £70 quid now. No excuses, jump in and grab a pair!
i'm in. how do i tell them you sent me? what is your nickname?

Just wondering 'cos I've never had anything Goretex that's remained waterproof for more than the first few downpours. :'(
CO-BUY CLOSED! :'(
(should have gotten in earlier,,)

I've had a pair of the previous model for at least 3 years now & they're brilliant, still fully waterproof. Can be a bit of a faff putting them on & getting the inner liner under your sleeve & the outer over it, but it's well worth it as they're the best winter gloves I've ever had. At that price they're a steal!
I find it odd that you have problems with Goretex kit, I've never had a leak with any Goretex kit, even the Daytona boots I bought in 1995 are still going strong!
Maybe I've been too much of a tightwad to buy decent quality then, the stuff I've bought in the past seems to work fine until a few months have gone by and I've lost the receipt and thrown away the packaging. :lol
The exception was the original Frank Thomas H2O boots (no Goretex), they lasted years and relied on decent quality leather with a waterproofing treatment rather than letting the water soak in until stopped by a layer of plastic film.
Time to winterize,,,
Bought one of these from Mountain Warehouse

That looks decent. Need something like this too. Still just using a skimp free thing I got on front of a magazine!
I have been looking for a decent (affordable) Gerbings option for a while, and VisorDown has Gerbings XR12 heated gloves list as one of their future co-buys.

How often do they have these co-buy thingees? Would I be waiting for weeks, months or till next winter?
Think they usually come round every couple of weeks or so. I like the idea of heated gloves, just not sure about faff plugging them in.
I thought about them but riding every day sometimes I need to take 2 pairs with me just in case of a downpour etc...
Heated grips and change of gloves seemed to make more sense to me.

all goretex products are guaranteed for the life of the product and you can get them repaired or replaced if they do leak
