I think it been different is inspiring. Smile

its a custom job and its not  stock and boring  why not change it

its nice to see what  can be done and having a bike is all about
Customized  to you and how you want it to look  and feel and  making them custom bikes is all the fun and shows your talent and your taste in styles and how you like the look  its a very personal chose  :b

Devlisyam is an inveterate tinkerer, modifier and researcher. He has done things to Fazer 1000s none of us has had the foresight, guts or nous to do, and many of us and our bikes have benefitted hugely from his curiosity. He leads us to new and exciting places and we'd all be stuck in a cave eating gravel if it wasn't for people like him. Why do it? Because pushing boundaries is interesting and you learn.

thankyou for your kind comments, this project and ongoing was to modify yet look like a stocker
the aim having done bling bling in ya face, was to make it appear to have rolled off the factory floor like this
all these mods this time round have been based on cost as i dont work now, funds are tight so mods to a point have to be self funding

i am fitting the 08 r1 front end next but instead of using aftermarket top yokes as most do, or modded r1 ones that look outa place, as key mount is off set, and trying to keep it looking stock, i have used the gen 2 top yoke with a variation on justy's spacer arrangment

if money was no object i'd build a fazer 1.5 gen -- a gen 1 with gen2 full bodywork forks 08 r1 this would have given the best of both worlds
updated looks the best motor and the r1 front end well all wanted before the fz1 was launched

as for inovation well look to moto gp and f1 we all ride drive stuff that was devoloped from these sources

so why well cause i can, like it or hate, it dont give a toss, cause whilst i breath i will tinker, fiddle and mod

1st one to do r1 forks
1st one to fit sssa t595
1st to do honda sssa
1st one to do window covers
discovered the zx9r clutch mod
discovered the throttle lock mod
devoloped the r6 shock mod
make frame plugs and clock rings
sprocket covers
1st to do a rim braking conversion
list is ongoing

Amen

I'll agree with the fact the R1 key mount is offset when my steering lock is on my front wheel is straight so the can just push it away in a straight line!!

I have to say you are a total genius!

Having spent hours last year building up a mates original Harris XR69 from a frame found on ebay.
I am ultimately impressed with your engineering brilliance.
All we had to do was get the parts.... engine, looms etc, build a few bits and bob, add fairings etc and put it together.

What a nightmare that was and with the help and advice from Harris themselves.
We finished 11pm on a Sat night and it was on the track 10 am the following at the festival of 1000 bikes.
There was no way you would have got me on it!

Keep it up.

THOSE WHO SAY IT CAN'T BE DONE, SHOULD KEEP QUIET WHILE OTHERS ARE DOING IT.

Never has an expression been so apt. Brilliant work. An inspiration.
