Stainless Downpipes
Rear Hugger
End can
Rim tape (Sets the wheels off tbh)
K&N air filter
Jackup Kit
Smaller numberplate & indicators
Belly pan

Tcp aerodynamics fairing lowers for the 02/03 fazer look awesome but very expensive. Jack up 25 mm improves handling. Braided brake hoses improve the feel of the brakes. A k&n air filter improves breathing. And last but not least a slip on end can makes it sound good. oh and you get to give your neighbours the hump at the push of a button  Big Grin

Not done 10 mods yet, but i'm working on it...

1)Fzs1000 rear caliper really worthwhile IMO,(& looks cool) standard caliper is pants, my hack '91 xj600's puts it to shame.
Only trouble is finding one... i was searching a good while.

I'm sure i found the details on this forum, pretty straightforward, you just need to file the 600 caliper mounting bracket a little, easy job, which is more than i can say for bleeding the back brake once you're done! Don't say i didn't warn you.

2) while you're at it how about the fzs1000 drilled caliper mount bolts F&R? Look trick without spending silly pennies on titanium thingies.

Deefer I am almost sure the GPack is a scam. Do you feel any difference? Where did you plugged it? I think the only ignition limiter in our bikes works when they are in Neutral. There is a picture around the web of an opened one and there is nothing inside, I can search for it, I think it is from a Suzuki SV. It would be nice that you look inside yours...

1)jack up kit (the ebay cheap one)
2)Adjustable in length rear shock (FG Gubellini, webpage says it is not adjustable for the fzs but it is for 5mm, I found that and they confirmed it)
3)TRX front wheel with a 120/70, and a 170/60 rear.
With these 3 the rear wheel almost touchs the floor with the centerstand. Lots of room for cornering now.

4)1kg/mm fork springs with SAE 20. (not good for cold weather). Preload adjusters from the 2000- models. Rubber fork gaitors, protect against dead mosquitos ruining the seals.

5)Hel lines.
6)MIVV can with fake dB-killer
7)BMC air filter
8)tiny homologated led indicators.
9)stainless chainguard
10)Rayza crash protectors that fortunately work and also allow me to ride it like a Harley in long trips  :lol

Also I am testing an ebay chinese gear indicator, but it is not working properly due the second gear being too imprecise.

I forgot removed centerstand and pillion's bar. No stickers and removed paint from the lower aircooling fins.
Now I remember: Thunderace rear brake torque arm. Also I could set the gear indicator, it is working properly.

The only way to definitively prove/disprove the ignition unit would be a run through the gears on the dyno wouldn't it. Surprised G-pack don't provide this (that i've seen anyway) for charging over £100 for something that presumably just fools the ignition into thinking it's in a higher gear.

can anyone explain how the ignition mod from Nikko would work on a carb fuelled bike?? what electronics are there that affect fueling (like on fuel injected bikes)? Ta!

there are none...... it is as you say an ignition mod affecting ignition advance.

lower fairings and front mudguard by ermax, makes the bike look like a proper race replica, very rare though....Yamaha fzs600

DynoJet kit - I sense no difference, but spark plugs look OK so no harm either. Works OK.

K&N air filter - good one.

Open end can - really nice sound and a bit of performance gained (or more mpg when not driven hard). It sounds cool now. It also looks cool: a triangular carbon one! Smile

What I'd love is new rear shock and new front fork springs. However, I can't find a way to justify to myself spending 700 euros on suspension on a bike that costs maybe twice that much. I'm not too heavy (70 kg), so the stock suspension is not all wrong for me. Still... Smile


Yes, forgot: small indicators.

Both headlights mod - a no brainier, helps and looks nicer.

LED taillight bulbs - less power used, works neat and gives better contrast from normal to braking mode.

Mushroom looking sliders - no brainier.

Givi Topbox rack, with a 50 litre topbox (you have a woman, you need it Sad  ). Homemade soft panniers distancers so panniers don't cover rear blinkers.

Scottoiler - not sure if it's a real mod, but it helps.

OMG, didn't realise what has been done in years. Looks like a lot, but I wouldn't like the bike without it all.
Most things done in a hurry need to be done again - patiently.
